A MEETING WAS HELD BETWEEN REPRESENTATIVES OF SOCAR AND SSU
On July 19, 2023, a meeting between representatives of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and SSU was held at Sumgayit State University (SSU).
At the meeting, issues of cooperation between the parties were considered, and at the same time, discussions were held on the implementation of the issues stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between SSU and "SOCAR Downstream Management" LLC in April of this year.
Later, congratulatory letters were presented to the students who were distinguished for the "Summer internship program" at the "Petkim" petrochemical complex and the STAR refinery, as well as at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, which are subsidiaries of SOCAR.
At the meeting, ideas were also exchanged on the development of cooperation between industrial and educational institutions.
In the end, the equipment donated by "SOCAR Downstream Management" LLC was inspected in order to get a practical introduction to the equipment used in the industry along with the theoretical knowledge gained during the education period at the training ground of SSU.
