On July 29, a meeting with the students who graduated in 1982 was held at SSU.

First of all, SSU vice-rector on Social affairs and public relations associate professor Elmar Khalilov greeted the guests on behalf of SSU rector professor Elkhan Huseynov and thanked them for participating in the meeting. He noted that most of the students who studied at the university at the time are now qualified and professional personnel holding various positions in our country. Then Elmar Khalilov talked about the work done at the university in recent years and its comprehensive development. He stated that now Sumgayit State University continues and develops its activity in all areas not only as a scientific and educational institution, but also as a cultural center.

Speaking at the meeting, associate professor Amirkhan Isayev, head of the Career and graduate employment center, noted that SSU always treats its graduates carefully. He stated that the establishment of close relations between SSU and graduates have very important and useful results. He emphasized the role of Career and graduate employment center in this cooperation. Amirkhan Isayev once again said the importance of regularly organizing such meetings.

Later, the former graduates expressed their gratitude to the rector professor Elkhan Huseynov for creating conditions for the organization of the meeting. They gave extensive information about their activities and shared their fond memories of their student years and they were satisfied with the participation in the meeting, the graduates highly appreciated the recent developments in the university.
