AN INFO SESSION ABOUT #CODEFORFUTURE, A JOINT PROJECT OF "CODE ACADEMY" WITH THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND EDUCATION, WAS HELD AT SSU
On May 19, there was an info session for the students of the university about the next semester of the #codeforfuture project jointly implemented by the Ministry of Science and Education and the "Code Academy".
SSU vice-rector for International relations, associate professor Gafar Atayev opened the event and greeted the participants. He stated that SSU rector professor Elkhan Huseynov wished success to the students who wish to join the project, the vice-rector introduced the project coordinators Shahriyar Mammadli and Ulvi Safarli.
Gafar Atayev spoke about the importance of the #codeforfuture project and stated that successful projects have been implemented in SSU in the direction of training competitive, highly qualified personnel that respond to the modern labor market, and that the work of training scientific and pedagogical personnel for our republic. 64 students of SSU in 4 groups were successfully participating in #codeforfuture project classes, network administrator and web programming courses were taught. It was noted that 20 students of SSU who were studying under this program participated in Microsoft"s exams with the support of "Code Academy" and obtained the company"s international certificates.
The project coordinators spoke in the session and invited students to join the #codeforfuture project for taking advantage of its opportunities. They gave detailed information to the participants through presentations about how to register for the project in the portal, the mechanism of the selection exams, the organization of the test, as well as the evaluation criteria, the participant certificate and the diplomas of "Code Academy".
At the end of the information session, many questions of the students were answered.
It should be noted that the main goal of the project was to support the acquisition of knowledge and skills of students in the field of IT in order to be able to have professions in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market.
