On May 12, the VIII Student Scientific Conference was organized by SSS at the faculty of Economics and management of Sumgayit State University.

The conference was attended by professors and teachers of the faculty of Economics and management, heads of departments, scientific head of the faculty of SSS, associate professor Tarana Ahmadova, chairman of the SSS of the university, Solmaz Bahramzade, chairman of SSS in the Economics and management faculty  Namig Najafov, and active students.

Opening the conference with an introductory speech, Tarana Ahmadova, scientific head of the faculty of Economics and management, greeted the conference participants and spoke about the importance of the conference. She noted that conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and  informed the participants of the conference about the work done in the last year by the SSS in the faculty and thanked the university administration for supporting the activities of the Student Scientific Society.

The plenary session continued with the report of 4 students. Interesting discussions were held around the reports.

Associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva, dean of the faculty of Economics and management, highly appreciated the level of preparation of the students who spoke at the conference, and thanked their academic supervisors. The dean emphasized that SSS plays an important role in the life of the university and students. She noted that in the world experience, SSSs are valued as an important institution operating in universities, and appreciated the work of SSU SSS. She thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the conference and wished success to the students. The dean also said that, like last year, the students who will be selected for the University Student Scientific Conference this year will be determined in a completely transparent way, through voting.

Later, Solmaz Bahramzade, the chairman of SSU SSS, expressed her gratitude to the dean of the faculty of Economics and management, Aynura Yahyayeva, and the head of the faculty SSS Tarana Ahmadova, for organizing the conference at a high level.

In the end, Soltan Soltanov, one of the students who spoke at the conference, was chosen to represent the faculty at the University SSS conference by voting.
