The rector of SSU presented a Honorary Diploma to a group of representatives of Sumgayit Music College
On May 12, the rector of Sumgait State University professor Elkhan Huseynov received a group of representatives of Sumgait Music College under Azerbaijan National Conservatory. The rector expressed his satisfaction to see them at the university. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, he thanked everyone who contributed to the high - level concert program jointly organized by Sumgait State University and Sumgait Music College.
Professor Elkhan Huseynov met the director of the college, associate professor Sabina Mehdiyeva, deputy director of the college for educational affairs, awarded with an Honorary Diploma for their successful performances in the concert program - Kamran Suleymanov, laureate of international competitions, conductor of the choir and chamber orchestra, composer, Honored teacher of the republic Firangiz Khalilova, artistic directors of the chamber orchestra Shams Aliyeva and Konul Bekirova, the artistic director of the Folk Musical Instruments Kamran Teymurov, and wished them good health and success in their work.
The 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who served his country and people with unparalleled services, is widely celebrated in all parts of our country, with high respect and deep gratitude of every Azerbaijani. Professor Elkhan Huseynov spoke about the Great Leader"s contribution to the history, culture, science and education of Azerbaijan. He noted that the genius always mentioned education and culture in all his speeches as the main means of a nation"s development and self-affirmation in the world.
The rector noted that National Leader Heydar Aliyev is a genius who left his mark in all spheres of Azerbaijani culture and art. He always paid attention and care to education, culture, and artists, personally participated in conventions of artists, composers, writers, and theater employees, and always inspired them with his beautiful speeches and precious suggestions. Every time we learn something new about him and we are once again convinced that the current flourishing Azerbaijan is exactly the Azerbaijan founded by Heydar Aliyev.
Director of Sumgayit Music College, associate professor Sabina Mehdiyeva, doctor of philosophy in Art Studies, thanked professor Elkhan Huseynov for his sincere receiving, attention and care. He noted that the concert program held within the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" is one of the series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader.
