SUMGAYIT STATE UNIVERSITY AND SUMGAYIT COURT OF APPEAL JOINTLY ORGANIZED A CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO "HEYDAR ALIYEV YEAR"
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, a series of events dedicated to the great leader"s rich legacy are being continued within the framework of the 2023 "Year of Heydar Aliyev" announced by the country"s President Ilham Aliyev.
On this occasion, a conference on "Heydar Aliyev is the author of progressive judicial and legal reforms" was held for young people in Sumgait by the Ministry of Justice, jointly organized by Sumgait Court of Appeal and Sumgait State University.
Officials of the Ministry of Justice, judges of Sumgayit courts of appeal and first instance, employees of the judiciary, vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations of Sumgayit State University, Trade Unions Committee of SSU, chairman of Student Youth Organization of SSU, students of SSU, employees and students of Baku State University attended the event.
First, the National Leader"s monument in Sumgayit was visited, flowers were laid. Also, the young people got acquainted with interesting expositions dedicated to the life and activities of the Great Leader at the Heydar Aliyev Center and watched a film dedicated to the National Leader.
Aynur Sabitova, head of the Human Rights and Communication Department of the Ministry of Justice, opened the ongoing event at the Sumgayit Court Complex and talked about the events dedicated to the dear memory of Heydar Aliyev. He said that the legacy of the National Leader, who is an example to everyone, should be constantly studied. The purpose of today"s event is to inform students about the functioning of the judicial system and the reforms implemented by the genius of Heydar Aliyev.
Then a film dedicated to the meaningful life path and hard activity of the National Leader was shown.
Chairman of the Sumgayit Court of Appeal Tofig Pashayev made a speech and noted the role of the Great Leader in the formation of a modern independent judicial power, informed the students about the measures and innovations that were laid by the genius leader and carried out under the leadership of the country"s President Ilham Aliyev. He said that the construction of a modern court complex in Sumgait is an important part of these reforms.
After the speeches, a question-and-answer session was held at the event,the students" questions were clarified, and interesting discussions were held.
Within the framework of the conference, the young people got acquainted with the modern conditions created in the Sumgayit Court Complex, including public and administrative zones, court meeting rooms, for judges and other rooms, the "Electronic court" information system and applied digital innovations.
