A MEETING WAS HELD BETWEEN REPRESENTATIVES OF SOCAR AND SUMGAYIT STATE UNIVERSITY
On January 23, 2023, a meeting between representatives of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and SSU was held at Sumgayit State University (SSU).
At the meeting, views were exchanged on the mutual benefits and perspectives of joint cooperation on the development of science and education, and satisfaction was expressed with the expansion of effective cooperation between SOCAR and SSU.
In the framework of "university-industry cooperation", it was pointed out that SSU has beneficial cooperation relations with many enterprises. It was said that this initiative will contribute to the training of qualified personnel.
At the meeting, it was also noted that SOCAR has implemented several programs aimed at increasing the knowledge and skills of young people, as well as industrial experience. It was emphasized that 120 SSU students have been involved in SOCAR"s internship programs, and 41 SSU graduates have been employed in SOCAR"s enterprises in the last two years.
Within the framework of the meeting, it was stated that BHOS graduates contribute to the development of the country"s economy and industry by working in various industrial enterprises of SOCAR and the country, as well as in transnational companies, and represent Azerbaijan in huge companies.
