On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Sumgayit State University, a group of professors and staff members of the university were awarded various high awards. Mr. Zakir Farajov the head of the Sumgayit City Executive Power, the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions and the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union have always highly appreciated the work of the staff of Sumgayit State University and awarded them with various prizes and honorary diplomas.

On December 5, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of SSU, a group of employees was honored with the order of the Sumgayit City Executive power No. 712 dated November 14, 2022 and the decision of the ATUC No. 22 b.5 dated November 11, 2022.

At the event, the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the guests and participants, talked about the reforms and implemented projects at the university in recent years, and wished the awarded employees success in their work.

Professor Elkhan Huseynov stated that this institution of higher education with 60 years of experience will continue to make a contribution to the training of competitive specialists with high professionalism , to the sustainable development of human capital, and to the formation of a scientific and intellectual environment.

Speaking on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Sumgait State University, which is the only higher education institution of Sumgait city, Zakir Farajov the head of Sumgait City Executive Power sincerely congratulated the faculty and students of his native university and wished them good health, great successes. He noted that during these years, Sumgayit State University has undergone great development and has now become one of the most advanced higher education institutions of our country as well as a scientific center where fundamental research is conducted. Today, Sumgayit State University is one of the leading educational institutions with its own place among the higher education schools of our country. Graduates of the university are distinguished by their knowledge and abilities in all fields for the development of our country.

Later, Zakir Farajov presented the Honorary diplomas to their owners.

Mirza Jafarzadeh deputy chairman of the Republican Committee of ITUAEE made a speech and congratulated the employees who were awarded, and noted that the President of the country Ilham Aliyev paid close attention to the development of education. The speaker informed the event participants that the achievements are the result of this attention and care. He said that Sumgayit State University, which has rich traditions, has trained thousands of highly qualified personnel for our country. This tradition continues successfully today.
