On November 22, at Sumgayit State University a training on accreditation rules was held for the structural managers of the university under the organization of the Quality assurance department and the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.Vice-rector for Science and innovation of SSU prof.Ramazan Mammadov spoke about the importance of the accreditation process and noted its advantages for higher education institutions. Emphasizing that accreditation is one of the main criteria for development at all levels of education, the vice-rector said that currently the  accreditation is the most common  program in the world  that is widely used in education. In this regard, professor Ramazan Mammadov informed about the accreditation of Sumgayit State University planned for the second half of the 2022-2023 academic year.Head of the  Quality assurance department of the university Narmin Hasanova  spoke about the importance of the establishment of the Quality Agency in Education, the work carried out in the university in accordance with the accreditation criteria and the importance of the experienced employees of the  university in this field actively participating as experts in the accreditation process. She stated that approved by the decision of the Board of the Ministry of Science and Education No. KQ-05 dated September 30, 2022 "Evaluation criteria for institutional and program accreditation of higher education institutions" is focused on by faculty deans, heads of departments and other structural leaders and it is planned to implement its institutional accreditation during the current year.

Later, Asiman Ilyasov head of the Training and methodology department of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education made  a speech on the topic "Writing a self-analysis report" and gave extensive information about the writing of a self-analysis report and the documents required  the report. Asiman Ilyasov also spoke about the implementation of the monitoring  of the issues envisaged in the action plan for the execution of the Strategy, the tasks ahead in accordance with the modern requirements of the institutional and program accreditation rules. He stated that these are the main activities of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education: organizing consulting and methodical support services related to the establishment and development of internal quality assurance systems in educational institutions, as well as preparing recommendations for the implementation of accreditation of educational institutions. In the end, Asiman Ilyasov answered the questions of the professor-teaching staff on the topic , and discussions were held on achieving international accreditation of the university in various directions.
