A group of lecturers and students of the faculty of Economics and Management participated in the commemoration ceremonies of the martyred students who graduated from that faculty.

We should note that the head of the department of Economics associate professor Lala Mahmudova, deputy dean of the faculty Araz Mirzabayov, senior lecturers of the department Elnara Mammadova, Mahammad Ahmadov, and student Sabina Mehraliyeva participated in the commemoration ceremony. The ceremony was held in the village of Hajigurbanoba, Khachmaz district, where the martyred Huseyn Sultanov was born and grew up. They laid flowers on the grave of the graduate and commemorated his dear memory with great respect. The lecturers shared their memories about him and expressed their deep respect to his parents .

Noting that they are proud of the heroic soldiers and officers who showed bravery in writing the glorious pages of our history. The collective of the SSU wished mercy to all the martyrs who died for the liberation of our ancient lands from enemy occupation, and healing to the veterans.

It was reported that 24-year-old Huseyn Sultanov participated in the battles as a battalion chief received higher education at SSU in 2014-2018. The heroic graduate of the university showed heroism in the battles for the liberation of Jabrayil, Fuzuli and Khojavend and in the direction of Fuzuli on October 21, 2020.He was awarded with the medals according to the relevant orders of the head of state “Füzulinin azad olunmasına görə”, ( For the liberation of Fuzuli ),“Xocavəndin azad olunmasına görə” (For the liberation of Khojavend), “Vətən uğrunda (For the Motherland) and “Döyüşdə fərqlənməyə görə (For Distinction in Battle) .

Associate professor Logman Abdullayev-head of the department of Finance and accounting, Shafa Aliyev-professor of the department of World economy and marketing, senior laboratory assistant of the department of Economics Shukur Aliyev and student Rashad Tahirli attended in the memorial ceremony of the martyred graduate Tahmasib Garayev in the village of Kabirli, Aghjabedi region and laid flowers to his grave and the spring created in his name.

During his student years, Tahmasib was always an exemplary and well-disciplined student.

We should note that Tahmasib Garayev participated in the battles for the freedom of the Murov peak , Jabrayil, Fuzuli, and Gubadli regions in the Patriotic war that began on September 27, 2020.He was heroically martyred on October 22, 2020 during the fierce battles in the area called "Girmizi market ". On October 23, 2020, he was buried in the Kabirli village , Agjabadi region. After his death, he was awarded with the medals ”Cəbrayılın azad olunmasına görə” (For the liberation of Jabrayil), “Kəlbəcərin azad olunmasına görə” (For the liberation of Kalbajar), “Xocavəndin azad olunmasına görə”  ("For the liberation of Khojavend") ,“Vətən uğrunda”,( "For the Motherland"), İgidliyə görə”  ("For bravery") and   "Rashadat" order of the 3rd degree.
