On October 19, the meeting of the rectorate of Sumgayit State University was held.

Rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov opened the meeting,  greeted the participants and brought to their attention the issues on the agenda.

Associate professor vice-rector for Education Organization and training technologies Natig Talibov  informed about the forecast of student admission to SSU and the analysis of fields and qualifications needed by leading institutions in the region. He stated that in the 2022/2023 academic year, the high level of student admission to  the university showed the prestige of the SSU in the region and the republic. In order to maintain the high level of student admission to SSU in the coming years, department heads and faculty deans have been assigned to continuously track  the demand of the labor market and take appropriate measures to acquire new promising qualifications.

Associate professor Natig Talibov also emphasized that applications were addressed to the heads of leading enterprises located in Sumgait city and the region on the qualifications they needed.

Then Faig Shirinov director of the Teaching methodological center spoke about the course of the educational process at SSU and preparations for holding colloquiums. In this direction, the educational process at SSU is carried out  according to the approved schedule, the subjects of free work. Colloquium questions were presented to students in all academic groups.

Faig Shirinov also noted that the organization of open classes was prepared by the deans of the faculty and submitted to the Teaching methodological center  and the participation of representatives of the relevant structure in the classes will be ensured.

Vice-rector for Economic affairs Naib Hajiyev informed about the state of preparations for the winter season at Sumgayit State University. He said that measures are  continued in all three buildings of the university in order to implement the necessary issues.

After the discussions, appropriate decisions were made and the next meeting of the rectorate  concluded its work.
