In the "State Program  increasing the international competitiveness of the higher education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the years 2019-2023" approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the development of business-creative environment in Azerbaijani universities is indicated as one of the priority directions. Based on the relevant provisions of the State Program, the Strategic Development Plan for 2020-2025  approved by the Scientific Council of SSU envisages the creation of the  "Innovation and   Creativity  Center" at the university, and the implementation of relevant works has begun.

A Working group, a Mentor group and an Expert group were established with the order of  the rector of SSU professor Elkhan Huseynov No. R-29/1 dated May 27, 2022,  for the purpose of establishing and ensuring the efficient operation of the "Innovation and Creativity Center", Action plan of the Working group Approved.

On July 5, 2022, according to the works to be carried out in the mentioned direction, the following  members of the Working group visited the "INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center" of the State Agency under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations; professor Ramazan Mammadov vice-rector for Science and Innovations of the University, Naib Hajiyev vice-rector for Economic Affairs, and Samir Orujov head of the Scientific department.They  obtained  valuable experience in the direction of the creation and efficient operation of a modern innovative technology park in universities.  During the meeting,  the extensive discussions were held  with Tengiz Atakishiyev head of the department of  INNOLAND for work with startups  about the purpose and efficient operation of technoparks and future cooperation.

We would like to note that Fidan Rustamli a graduate of SSU is the Executive director of the "Gameponds" company established under INNOLAND and the Regional Director of the Webplay VS company, and our other graduate Sanan Abdullayev is working as a Program manager at the SUP VS company.

At the meeting, it was decided to hold events of mutual importance between "INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center" and SSU in relevant fields of activity.
