 Sumgayit State University organizes a series of events, conferences and lectures on "Heydar Aliyev in modern state building" in honor of the memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev at all faculties.

Starting from May 3, on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev  lectures on "Heydar Aliyev in modern state-building" are  held by the faculty of History and geography.

The lectures spoke about the glorious life of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, his rich activity, the mission of salvation, as well as the unparalleled services rendered by the Azerbaijani people in difficult times. They noted that both during independence and during the Soviet era, as a result of the far-sighted policy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, today Azerbaijan is recognized and supported in the world as a developed, safe and prosperous state. It was also emphasized in the speeches that the care for science and education has always occupied an important place in Heydar Aliyev's socio-political activity for more than 30 years. It is no coincidence that the rise of science and education in the last 30 years of the twentieth century was one of the factors that led to the renaissance of Azerbaijan. After Heydar Aliyev's return to the leadership of Azerbaijan, the attention and care paid to science and education showed itself from the first days. After the historic return of Heydar Aliyev, the strategic line developed and implemented in the country set the task to develop and implement a comprehensive reform program in this area to make education a real, strong factor of our national progress, bringing educational institutions to normal operation. They stressed that the availability of qualified personnel in all areas, including the military  is the result of the Great Leader's personnel policy. Assessing the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupation as a result of that policy, the scientists said that the historical victory of the People's Army-Supreme Commander-in-Chief and our army once again introduced our country to the world.
