SSU EMPLOYEES PARTICIPATED IN THE PROJECT "PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATORS AND STUDY OF INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OF" HUMAN-COMPUTER INTERFACES"
As it is known, 9 projects supported within the framework of the grant competition the implementation of "Development of higher and secondary speciality education in 2021/2022" has been started. In the universities subordinated to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan three priority areas have been identified - ensuring international academic mobility of the teaching staff of higher education institutions (from abroad to Azerbaijan and vice versa) from Baku, Lankaran, Mingachevir and Nakhchivan. Increasing the scientific potential of educational institutions and ensuring the use of scientific research platforms; 9 projects are being implemented in the categories of development and application of new and modern educational content in specialties. It should be noted that Nakhchivan University has won a grant in the category of development and application of new and modern educational content in the field of "Professional development of teachers in the field of" Human-Computer Interfaces "and the study of international experience."
For this purpose, on February 7, Nakhchivan University hosted an online webinar on the project "Professional development of teachers in the field of" Human-Computer Interfaces "and the study of international experience."
The webinar was attended by employees of the Department of Information Technology and Programming of the Faculty of Engineering of Sumgayit State University and spoke about the importance of the project. They said that "Human-Computer Interfaces" is a field of research that is actively developing, combining the achievements of ergonomics, psychology, computer science, information technology, computer science, automated control theory, etc. Currently, the problem of Human-Computer Interaction is one of the key issues in the creation of automated systems. It was also noted that the staff of the department regularly actively participates in webinars and various events on the project. The textbook is compiled under the leadership of the head teacher of the department Svetlana Ahmadova by the staff in the field of "Human-Computer Interfaces" and an assistant Mehriban Salimova is compiling the textbook for the implementation of laboratory work.
The aim of the project is to select potential teachers who will teach the subject "Human-Computer Interfaces" and to develop a curriculum and textbook for the subject. At the Middle East Technical University of Turkey, which is ranked 601-800 in the world rating, the first "Human-Computer Interaction" laboratory in Turkey was established in 2005 under the leadership of Kurshat Cagiltay . At the initial stage, the project aims to train specialists, as well as to get acquainted with the work of the laboratory through academic mobility and bring innovations to our country. The 10 candidates who succeeded in the online trainings and got a positive feedback from the trainer and expert will be sent on a 10-day trip to Ankara in order to get acquainted with the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory of METU University.
