OUR ECONOMISTS TOOK PART IN AN ONLINE ROUND TABLE
On October 7, an online round table was held entitled "Development trends of national economies in the context of globalization and international instability: problems, risks, prospects", jointly organized by the Department of Economics of Sumgayit State University, Department of Economic Security of Ufa State Oil Technical University and the Department of Management of the National Technical University of Belarus.
Director of the Institute of Business and Creative Industry Ecosystem of Ufa State Oil Technical University, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Honorary Worker of Higher Vocational Education of the Russian Federation prof. Solodilova Natalya Zinovyevna greeted the participants of the event, noting the regular holding of round tables between the departments of Economics of Sumgayit State University and Economic Security of Ufa State Oil Technical University, and the interest of other departments of these universities in these meetings. She said that the joining of the Department of Management of the National Technical University of Belarus to today's meeting is a clear proof of this. She expressed satisfaction with the expansion of the format of the series of scientific meetings, and expressed confidence that today's round table will be useful for all participants.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Assoc. prof. Aynura Yahyayeva greeted the participants and spoke about the importance of the event. She noted that the purpose of the round table is to implement the provisions of agreements on cooperation between Sumgayit State University and Ufa State Oil Technical University, as well as to expand international relations of the Department of Economics of Sumgayit State University, to deepen scientific and educational ties between the relevant departments.
Dean docent Aynura Yahyayeva also noted that despite the difficult historical period at the end of the last century, Azerbaijan was recognized in the world as a country that confidently went through a great evolution in its socio-economic and cultural life and ensured a stable, secure and modern standard of living. The economic strategy and deep reforms implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev have laid the foundation for the further growth of our country's economic power and the formation of a high social welfare society based on modern living standards. The relevant Presidential Decree on "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development" also addresses this issue as an important direction. In this context, the formation of security, stability, prosperity and mutually beneficial cooperation in the region, as well as the development of economic and trade relations will further strengthen the role of Azerbaijan, a leading state in the South Caucasus, in determining the overall architecture of the region's economy.
Head of the Department of Economics of SSU Assoc. prof. Lala Mahmudova greeted the participants and stressed the importance of analyzing the problems faced by national economies in the context of globalization and international instability, assessing the risks, identifying development prospects and directions.
Afterwards the Head of the Department of Economic Security from Ufa State Oil Technical University cand.econ.sc, docent Olga Vladimirovna Mamatelashvili delivered speech on "Risks of the modern economy", senior lecturer of the Department of Economics of Sumgayit State University Mahammad Ahmadov on"Key features of sustainable and consistent development", Associate Professor of Management of the National Technical University of Belarus Alexander Vasilyevich Kovalev "Monetary institution in an unstable world: search for alternatives" they did.
Sustainable development of the global economy was discussed at the meeting.
