THE NEXT 3-DAY TRAININGS OF ERASMUS + EQAC PROJECT
A 3-day online training on “Means of Quality Assurance” was held from 22 to 24 September within the framework of the European Commission-funded Erasmus + EQAC project “Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijani Universities”. The moderators of the training were specialists for quality in education from the University of Potsdam and the University of San Carlos. It should be noted that the coordinator of the project from SSU is Natig Talibov, Vice-Rector for Teaching Organization and Training Technologies.
The training discussed issues such as internal quality assurance system, variety of assessment types, detailed information on ex-ante, ex-post terms, improving the quality of curricula, training in accordance with labor market requirements, cooperation with graduates and employers, conducting surveys, processing results and accreditation. The training was moderated by Frank Niedermeier and Benjamin Jung, experts from the Center for Quality Development at the University of Potsdam in Germany, as well as Irish Dakay, a quality assurance specialist at the University of San Polo in the Philippines.
The training focused on group assignments on the topics. Participants entered onilne group rooms and prepared assignments with group leaders. During the presidency, the groups presented assignments to a general online audience for feedback from other experts.
The training was attended by local partners of the ERASMUS + EQAC project (BBU, ASPU, AzUAC, AMU, GSU, NU, MU, SSU, OYU, AKU), as well as representatives and specialists of non-partner higher education institutions. SSU was represented at the event by SSU ERASMUS + EQAC project manager PhD in history Samira Mammadova and Nihad Huseynov, the director of QAC within the project.
