On September 24, the Faculty of Engineering hosted an online event titled "The Road from War to Victory" dedicated to September 27 - Remembrance Day, organized by the Student Youth Organization.

The event was attended by a group of professors, teachers and students of the faculty.

First, the souls of our martyrs who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of our Motherland were commemorated with a minute of silence.

Opening the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Ulduz Aghayev said that September 27, 2020 is the day when we went to the real war called Karabakh. The day was written in the memory as the beginning date of the road leading to the Great Victory. In that 44-day war, under the leadership of the glorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, the 30-year longing of our people for the homeland was put to an end. After many years of separation, our occupied lands were liberated thanks to the courage and heroism of our victorious army, soldiers and officers. And November 8 was engraved in the memory of history as Victory Day.

Students of the Faculty of Engineering Jeyran Mammadova, Aysun Ahmadzade, Nurana Karimova, Sevinj Samedli spoke about the 44-day history of Victory and recited poems on patriotism.

Then the floor was given to Ramazan Adishli, a student of the 639th group of the Faculty of Engineering and Aydin Babayev, a student of the 631st group, who was one of the participants in the war. They spoke about their war paths and thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the care shown.

At the end of the event, videos about the Road to Victory were shown.
