AN ONLINE MEETING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS AND THE STATE MIGRATION SERVICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
On September 14, the State Migration Service held a traditional meeting with the Ministry of Education, as well as officials and representatives of higher education institutions operating in our country on migration issues of international students studying in our country. The meeting was attended by Tural Ahmadov, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education, Mujdat Hasanov, Head of the Sector for Education Abroad and Work with Foreign Students, and representatives of higher education institutions operating in our country.
Speaking at the event, Vidadi Fatullayev, a member of the State Migration Service's "Development of the Migration Area" Public Union, informed about the benefits applied in the field of migration for foreign teachers and students studying in our country in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
The participants were displayed an extensive presentation about the statistics of foreign citizens studying in our country for 2020 and 6 months of 2021, the concessions applied in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, administrative and legal issues, e-services, migAZ application, etc. The staff of the State Migration Service and representatives of the Ministry of Education then answered numerous questions of the participants.
Sadagat Fatullayeva, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Students, and Natavan Guliyeva, an employee of the department, attended the meeting from Sumgayit State University.
