“Enactus Azerbaijan” national competition on 2021, which was held by the organization of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, the Public Union "Support to Youth Awareness" and Enactus Azerbaijan and the general sponsorship of BP Azerbaijan has ended. During the semi-finals of the competition on August 25, the teams" presentations were evaluated by the jury and the teams of Baku Higher Oil School, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Economic University and Sumgayit State University qualified for the final stage of the Enactus Azerbaijan national competition. A solemn event dedicated to the final stage was held on August 26.

After the opening of the national anthem of Azerbaijan during the opening ceremony, the memory of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Enactus Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Youth Foundation Farid Jafarov said that the Foundation implements hundreds of projects every year. These projects, programs and events are created on the basis of the social order of young people. Holding such intellectual events and active participation of young people, as well as their active promotion of such events give additional impetus to the development of educated, well-educated Azerbaijani youth.

Speaking later, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev wished success to all participants of the Enactus program. He praised the successful work of young people in such projects. Intigam Babayev also spoke about the importance of such projects for young people to be educated and healthy-minded.

Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, BP"s Vice President for Communications and External Relations in the Middle East and the Caspian region, said such events were important for our young people to gain knowledge and experience outside the audience. He noted that in modern times, it is not enough to acquire only theoretical knowledge. Different practical knowledge, skills, abilities should be formed and it is commendable that all this is instilled through such competitions.

At the event, four finalist teams presented their projects to the members of the Board of Enactus Azerbaijan, answered the relevant questions addressed by the members of the board.

Farid Jafarov, Chairman of the Board of Enactus Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Youth Foundation, Intigam Babayev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, BP Vice President for Communications and External Relations in the Middle East and Caspian Region evaluated their projects.

According to the final opinion, Baku Higher Oil School won the competition with 124 points. The winning team will represent Azerbaijan at the Enactus World Cup on October 14-21. Also, according to the relevant decision of the jury, the team of Sumgayit State University was awarded second place, the team of Azerbaijan State Economic University was awarded third place. At the end, the winning teams were awarded prizes.

It should be noted that the project "Use of pine nuts as a natural feed additive in agriculture and as a biofuel in the production of gas and coal in industry" presented by the team of Sumgayit State University was awarded second place. At the end, the winning teams were awarded prizes.
