A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CAREER CENTERS’ COORDINATION COUNCIL
On April 16, a meeting of the Board of the Coordination Council of Career Centers established under the State Employment Agency was held. The meeting attended by representatives of the State Employment Agency, Youth Foundation, Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Baku State University, Azerbaijan University and Baku Higher Oil School.
The sides exchanged views on the future activities of the Coordinating Council of Career Centers, preparation of regulations, authority, expectations and working principles.
The members of the Management Board also provided information on the activities of the Career Centers in the organizations they represent, and defined the commitments to be made.
Speaking at the meeting, the head of the Career Center of SSU, Associate Professor Amirkhan Isayev gave detailed information about the work done by the Career Center, presented the booklets of SSU to the participants in order to get acquainted with the university. Associate Professor Amirkhan Isayev said he would support the establishment of Career Centers in the regions nominated by the Board and would invite the Board to SSU.
It should be noted that the purpose of establishing the Coordination Council of Career Centers was to establish and apply common standards, support the establishment of such centers in the Universities that have not instituted Career Centre yet, share the methodological framework, local best practices, research and application of foreign experience.
