On April 15, Sumgayit State University"s Faculty of Economics and Management organized an online master class by MP Academician Ziyad Samadzade for doctoral, master"s and bachelor"s students on "Thoughts on the past, present and future of the Azerbaijani economy."

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Aynura Yahyayeva thanked MP Ziyad Samadzadeh on behalf of the rector of Sumgayit State University, Professor Elkhan Huseynov and the staff of the faculty for the participation in the meeting with students and teachers. She noted that listening to a master class from such a valuable scientist as academician Ziyad Samadzade will provide additional information on the development features, problems and priorities of the Azerbaijani economy, and will be a great stimulus for research in these areas. As a result of the thoughtful and far-sighted policy of President Ilham Aliyev, the country"s economy has entered a period of rapid and dynamic development. Noting that a new era has begun in our country with the territorial integrity of our country thanks to the leadership of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the bravery of the invincible Azerbaijani Army, the dean of the faculty noted that large-scale restoration and construction work has begun in our native Karabakh.

Then the floor was given to MP Academician Ziyad Samadzade. The academician expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with a group of professors and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management and praised the event. Speaking about the urgency of the topic of the master class, the academician said that as a result of the victory, the country has ample opportunities to move to a new stage of economic development, and under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army has shown its strength to the world. Noting that the Great Return is one of the separate priorities in the strategic document "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development" approved by the President, the academician spoke about the thoughtful and systematic state measures taken to revive Karabakh. He stressed that the new economic value to be created in the liberated territories will many times exceed the financial costs of the Azerbaijani state. The restoration of these areas will create many new jobs. Thus, the implementation of new infrastructure projects will have a positive impact on the employment of our citizens. The victory of our victorious army will give impetus to the development of the non-oil sector and the further prosperity of the Azerbaijani economy.

At the event, the head of the Department of World Economy and Marketing, Associate Professor Malahat Panahaliyeva, Professor Shafa Aliyev, Head of the Department of Economics, Associate Professor Lala Mahmudova, Head of the Department of Business Organization and Management, Associate Professor Galib Huseynov praised the master class conducted by academician Ziyad Samadzade.

Academician Ziyad Samadzade answered the questions of teachers and students on "Thoughts of the Azerbaijani economy about past, present and future."

The meeting aroused great interest among the participants, doctoral, master"s and bachelor"s students.
