AN ONLINE EVENT DEDICATED TO MARCH 31 - THE DAY OF THE GENOCIDE OF AZERBAIJANIS AT THE FACULTY OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY
An online event dedicated to March 31 - the Day of the Genocide of Azerbaijanis was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology on March 30, organized by the Student Trade Union and the Student Youth Organization.
First, the participants commemorated with a minute of silence the memory of the victims of the genocide.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, Associate Professor Mahal Muradov, who informed about the genocide of Azerbaijanis on March 31, 1918. He noted that March 31 is marked as the day of genocide of Azerbaijanis at the state level in the Republic of Azerbaijan. This genocide was remembered by tragic events in the history of the Azerbaijani people and statehood. The massacre, repression, deportation and expulsion of Azerbaijanis are among the tragic and terrible pages of the history of the 20th century. The dean also noted that the Decree of the national leader Heydar Aliyev "On the genocide of Azerbaijanis" signed on March 26, 1998 for the first time gave a political and legal assessment to these events and the facts of genocide of Azerbaijanis by Armenians were announced to the world.
Associate Professor Musa Mustafayev, Head of the Department of Chemistry and its Teaching Methods, spoke on the topic "March 31 will not be erased from our memory" And noted the work done to promote the realities of Azerbaijan in the international arena, as well as the continuing support of the state in this matter.
Bilal Ahmadov, a teacher at the Department of Civil Defense, Medical and Physical Training, spoke on the "Realities of the Genocide" and spoke about the tragedies caused to our people by the Armenian Dashnaks.
After the speeches, a video reflecting the genocide was shown.
Huseyn Abdullayev, a student of group 313b of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology, sang “SPEAKING STONES”, Inji Mammadova, a student of group 327, sang “MARTYRS”, Anar Gullali, a student of group 323b, sang AZERBAIJAN poems.
