On November 26, the Republican scientific conference on "Integration into society and social adaptation: theoretical and practical aspects" began its work in the format of a video conference at Sumgayit State University.

Opening the conference, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Professor Ramazan Mammadov expressed satisfaction with seeing the conference participants, conveyed the greetings of Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov and wished success to the conference. He noted that the people of Azerbaijan are living in the most glorious period. Historical justice has been restored these days. The victory of the Azerbaijani Army was greeted with great joy by every Azerbaijani citizen. We also call this war the Patriotic War. Because it was the national struggle of our people for the liberation of our lands, to ensure our territorial integrity, the struggle for justice. Regardless of their identity, social status and beliefs, the citizens of Azerbaijan united as a fist in this struggle, stood as a soldier under the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and demonstrated to the whole world the most perfect example of national solidarity. As a result of the 44-day Second Karabakh War, the victorious Azerbaijan forced Armenia to sign an act of defeat. Our people came out of this war with honor and dignity. On behalf of the conference participants, the Vice-Rector congratulated the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and our people on this great victory.

Speaking about the importance of the conference, the vice-rector noted that the topic of the conference was wide. Due to the pandemic, education at SSU is organized online in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, events and conferences are held online, and security measures are strictly observed at the university. He said that the coronavirus is a pandemic that has recently become widespread on the world agenda. In addition to increasing the scope of the virus, it also causes various psychological disorders in humans. There are socio-economic difficulties associated with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic around the world. Even the most developed countries are trying to solve the problems they face, in addition to protecting the health of the population in connection with such an existing threat. A social and economic action plan on the coronavirus threat has also been implemented in Azerbaijan. This action plan covered many areas, including education. Thus, the payment of tuition fees for students who are members of families belonging to socially vulnerable groups is a clear example of this.

At the plenary session of the conference, the following persons made report on : the head of the Department of General Psychology of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Doctor of Psychology, Professor Ramiz Aliyev on "Nagorno-Karabakh war and its social psychological analysis", Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education of ASPU, Professor Farrukh Rustamov on "Stimulation of learning activities in students", Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Sumgayit State University, Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogy, Associate Professor Aytekin Mammadova on "The main directions of scientific and pedagogical research in the field of primary education in Azerbaijan", Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of SSU Jeyhun Mammadov on “The role of temperament in formation of teacher-student relations”, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Professor Ramazan Mammadov on "Phonetic position in the role of educator of students."

Executive Secretary of the conference, Associate Professor Aytekin Mammadova informed about the further work of the conference. He noted that 103 theses received from more than 20 higher and secondary educational institutions of the country, were selected by the Program Committee, checked for plagiarism and 78 reports were included in the agenda of the Conference.

The conference will last for two days in 4 sections.
