It should be noted that one of the largest projects to be implemented at Sumgayit State University in the 2020-2021 academic year is the overhaul of the university's student dormitory No. 1. It should be noted that the dormitory has been inhabited by IDPs since 1992. At the beginning of 2020, IDPs were relocated to buildings built for them by our state. The dormitory was in a state of disrepair. The design work related to the repair has been completed. The dormitory is designed in accordance with modern standards, it is planned to create all conditions to ensure the comfort of students. In addition to about 100 rooms in the dormitory, there is a library, laundry, dining room and a recreation area for students to spend their free time.

At the initiative of the Faculty of Physics and Electroenergetics, it is planned to establish a Museum and Training Landfill for Power Engineering at the university to study in depth the disciplines taught in the field of energy transmission and distribution in the training of energy specialists in the field of electricity.

The purpose of the Museum is to serve future professionals in the field of education and science by demonstrating the various types of equipment used in the field of electricity, their close study and comparative analysis with modern equipment of this type. The Museum and Training Landfill will be useful for faculty members and students engaged in scientific activities in addition to teaching. The Training Landfill will serve as a visual aid for students to learn each position separately, which is used in the transmission of high voltage to low voltage during training. This is an invaluable tool for training specialists in the field of electricity.
