SSU REPRESENTATIVES PARTICIPATED IN THE III ERASMUS INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM IN TURKEY
The III Erasmus International Symposium was held in Ankara, Turkey on March 6-7. The following teachers from Sumgayit State University delivered speech at International Symposium: head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology docent Aytekin Mammadova-“Implementation of general compulsory education in Azerbaijan as one of the main directions of state education policy”, docent Arzu Huseynova-“Divided Homeland idea in the literature of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic”, docent Shamama Mammadova-“Polymer material fertilizer seed coverage process”, doctoral student of SSU Nigar Abbaszade-“Implementation of legal democratic reforms in novel stage of development of statehood”, docent Kamala Salamova-“ Socio-psychological causes of suicidal tendencies caused by loneliness in adolescents ".
It should be noted that Erasmus (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) was established in 1987 as an EU program for student and teacher exchange between universities in the European Union, as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Northern Macedonia, Norway and Turkey. Launched in January 2014, Erasmus + is a new program that combines all current EU schemes for education, training, youth and sport. More than 4,000 educational institutions from 33 countries participate in the Erasmus program.
The main goal of the Erasmus program is to improve the quality of education in Europe, to develop the mobility and cultural ties of students in Europe and countries close to the European Union. International Symposiums are regularly organized to achieve these goals. The Erasmus experience is seen not only as an opportunity for further education, but also as an opportunity for social development and networking with other countries. From this point of view, the participation of Sumgayit State University staff in the III Erasmus International Symposium in Ankara, Turkey is one of the successful steps to expand cooperation with foreign countries in the field of education.
