On January 7, rector of Sumgayit State University, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, vice-rector for Teaching Organization and Training Technologies docent Natig Talibov, vice-rector for Humanitarian Issues docent Ramiz Huseynov, vice-rector for International Relations docent Gafar Atayev, vice-rector for Economic Affairs Naib Hajiyev, director of Teaching Methodical Center Faig Shirinov and the deans of the faculties observed the exam process at the faculties of Philology, Mathematics, Economics and Management, History and Geography, Engineering and were interested in the attitude of the students to the exams.

Rector Prof. Elkhan Huseynov said that he has signed a regulatory order in order to organize the exam session of the autumn semester of the 2019-2020 academic year in accordance with the existing rules of the Ministry of Education and for ensuring transparency and objectivity in assessing students' knowledge. According to the order, the university has created all conditions to complete the session in normal conditions and objectively. Thus, the university has its Operative Headquarters and Hotline. Students who are dissatisfied with their grades may apply to the Appeals Commission. In addition for running public control to the activity of SSU, also for informing the community about transparency of exam session, Public Control and Advisory Board was set up under the Rectorate of the University. Of course, all of this contributes to the full objectivity of exams.

The rector was interested in issues that concerned the students and said that they would be able to contact him if any problems arose.

The students expressed their satisfaction for created circumstances.

It should be noted that the autumn semester exam session at SSU starts on December 30 and ends on February 1.
