According to decision of Scientific Board of Sumgayit State University, collaborators of University regularly hold meetings at secondary schools of the city, as well as secondary school students are invited to the university. Staff of Mathematics faculty took active part in these events. As a result of these meetings several students study at Sumgayit State University from city secondary schools.

On December 4, collaborators of Mathematics faculty met the schoolchildren at Sumgayit city Natural Sciences Gymnasium: chairwoman of the Department of Mathematics and its teaching methods docent Khalida Hasanova, senior lecturers PhD in mathematics Natavan Allahverdiyeva , Ulviyya Aliyeva, assistants Vafa Rzayeva, Aynura Aliyeva, doctoral student of Department of Differential equations and optimization Irana Abdullayeva.

Director of Natural Sciences Gymnasium Nizami Ahmadov opened the event and spoke about achievements in education and special care of the government to education after gaining independence in the administration of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Afterwards the chairwoman of the Department of Mathematics and its teaching methods docent Khalida Hasanova delivered speech and notified that Azerbaijani education always felt the care and attention of the government in all periods. Science and education is rapidly advancing in our country as a result of President Ilham Aliyev’s education strategy. This process is not limited to the capital, but also encompasses the regions. At present there is a great revival at Sumgayit State University, which is an only higher education institution of the city. Rector of University Professor Elkhan Huseynov has considerable services in implementing the goals put forward at SSU.

At the end, university lecturers responded schoolchildren’s questions. Such kind of meetings will regularly keep on in secondary schools of Sumgayit city.
