On December 3, Vugar Bayramov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Economic and Social Development lectured on “Modern Macroeconomic Theories: Azerbaijani Model of Development” for students studying on the specialty of Business administration and management at the Faculty of Economics and Management.

The Dean of the Faculty, associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva greeted Vugar Bayramov, expressed her pleasure to see him at our university and spoke about the importance of holding master classes in specialty groups. She said that Sumgayit State University has been consistently implementing projects and activities aimed at improving students' individual development, outlook, knowledge and skills. At the same time, seminars and trainings are regularly held at the university with the participation of local and foreign professional trainers. The dean also noted that the development of our republic is stable due to the purposeful policy implemented in our country. In recent years, our country has consistently improved the indicators of socio-economic development. The development of the non-oil industry, taking into account the challenges of the modern world, gives its results.

The economist-expert Vugar Bayramov said that as a result of the successful and progressive policy laid down by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has made significant progress in all areas today. As a result of President Ilham Aliyev's far-sighted policy, the country's economy has entered a period of rapid and dynamic development. Vugar Bayramov also spoke about the current macroeconomic theories in the world and the tendencies of their transformation over the past century, the features of the economic model that is considered acceptable in our country.

At the end of the meeting, the students’ questions were responded on the results of monitoring and evaluation of strategic roadmaps implemented in our country, solutions of compulsory medical insurance of the unemployed population, storage, placement and management of foreign currency funds of the State Oil Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
