“Participate and find out your HIV status”
On December 3, Sumgayit State University, together with the AIDS Control Center of the Ministry of Health and the Sumgayit City Branch of the Red Crescent Society, held an educational event under the motto “Participate and find out your HIV status”.
The center’s specialists told students about HIV infection and how to protect and maintain safety, and a healthy lifestyle. They noted that the purpose of such events is to prevent the spread of HIV in Azerbaijan, increase public awareness of HIV and promote a healthy and safe lifestyle.
Then, AIDS Center staff conducted laboratory tests for students for the presence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
