ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF SSU BAHRAM MAMMADLI PASSED AWAY
On December 2, associate professor of the Department of History of Azerbaijani and Eastern European nations of Faculty of History and Geography of Sumgayit State University Bahram Mammadli.
Bahram Idris oglu Mammadli was born in 1946 in the village of Boyuk Pirahmedli of the Fizuli region in a family of employee. In 1952, he went to the first grade of the Fizuli region Russian secondary school, and then continued his studies at Aghdam city secondary school No. 5. In 1966, he entered the History faculty of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute. From 1970 to 1981, he was engaged in pedagogical activities. In 1981, he became the head of the Museum of Local History of the Fizuli region. In 1986, B.I. Mammadov defended his thesis on the topic: "The struggle for material well-being and improving the cultural and technical level of peasants in Azerbaijan in the 30s." He is the author of more than 20 scientific articles and books.
Since 2003, he worked as an associate professor at the Department of the History of the Peoples of Azerbaijan and Eastern Europe. In 2017, he was awarded the honorary title “Honored Teacher” by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated November 12, 2017.
He was married, had 4 children. He was the father of a martyr.
