OUR TEAM TOOK PART IN THE "44TH INTERNATIONAL COLLEGIATE PROGRAMMING CONTEST"
On November 10, a regional tour of “44th International Collegiate Programming Contest (XV Championship of Azerbaijan)” was held at Baku Engineering University. The competition was attended by 54 teams from 18 universities and 3 teams of schoolchildren (out of competition).
The participants were welcomed by the vice-rector of the university for International Relations Manafaddin Namazov. He wished the participants success and talked about the role of information technology in the development of the world and our country in the modern era.
The regional director of the contest in Azerbaijan, associate professor of Baku State University, Ramin Mahmudzade, noted the importance of the event and emphasized that by the number of participants and the scientific and technical level this competition is the most prestigious competition in the world, and the contestants are students of the most famous universities in the world. Upon completion of training, students receive job offers from leading world companies in the field of IT.
Vusal Khalilov, representative of the PASHA Bank, general sponsor of the contest, wished the contestants success and said that they would support such projects in the future.
The competition coordinator for Azerbaijan, Etibar Seyidzade, informed the participants about the conditions, rules and technical issues of the competition.
After the speeches, the competition began. The teams were instructed to solve 13 algorithmic problems in the programming languages C, C ++, Java or Python within 5 hours.
It should be noted that the teams SSU1 and SSU2 of Sumgayit State University took part in the competition.
