On May 26, lecturers and students of Economics and management faculty of Sumgayit State University visited Jojug Marjanli.

At first they visited the monument “A memorial to April martyrs” which was erected on the edge of the Horadiz-Jojug Marjanli road, put flowers in front of it and commemorated the memory of martyrs. Then they met the collective of secondary school named after Novruz Aslanov and watched the composition prepared by the pupils of school.

Principal of school Zamin Haziyev gave information about renovation works executed in the village and spoke about socio-economic condition of the population, who returned to the village and significance of measures implemented for providing employment. Zamin Haziyev expressed his gratitude to SSU collective for their attention.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and management docent Aynura Yahyayeva noted: “April fights drew attention to the conflict in international and political arena and it also was victorious for Azerbaijan. Those events showed Azerbaijani soldiers’ combat and moral-psychological preparation. These battles once more demonstrated the state power and military strength, unity, solidarity and patriotism of the people and perseverance for returning invaded lands. Azerbaijani flag is waving in liberated lands of Aghdara, Jebrayil and Fuzuli. After April fights, effective condition arisen in restoration of secure life in Jojug Marjanli and retrieval of internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands. The Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated January 24, 2017 on “Restoration of liberated Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrayil region” is of great importance. We are sure that Azerbaijani people will never agree with the occupation of its lands and struggle for liberation of ancient lands”.

SSU collective visited Jojug Marjanli mosque constructed in 2017 by President Ilham Aliyev and got acquainted with the park laid out by the administration of first vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva. Their meeting with soldiers of military unit caused increase of their sense of patriotism.

It should be noted that SSU associates presented presents to secondary school of Jojug Marjanli village, the mosque and military unit.
