Extended meeting of Scientific Board was held on 17th of May. Rector of university Professor Elkhan Huseynov hailed the Board members and informed about the issues on meeting agenda.

Professor Elkhan Huseynov said: “According to Order, issued by Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov “About organizing and holding exam session” dated May 14, 2019 № F-265, exam session of spring semester of 2018/2019 academic year will be organized at Sumgayit State University according to existing rules in educational institutions and for providing transparency and objectivity in estimation of students’ knowledge, creating exam headquarters at education institutions. The effective conditions will be created to the members of Public Control and Advisory Board of SSU, Non-Governmental Organizations, parents and media for observing exam process”.

Rector also noted that it is planned to carry out summer school within Association of Azerbaijani-Russian Universities. It is planned to invite the students from Russian universities to Azerbaijan under the motto “Getting to know Azerbaijan”, to organize visit of these students to Azerbaijani universities, tourism centers, big enterprises, technoparks and other places of interest.

Head of Teaching Methodical Center docent Isabal Gurbanov gave information about preparation state for exam session of spring semester and State exams of 2018/2019 academic year in Bachelor’s degree, head of Doctorate and Master programs office docent Sabir Khalilov in Master’s degree. Vice-rector on Science and Innovations prof.Ramazan Mammadov informed about the events, which are planned to be held within Association of Azerbaijani-Russian Universities on May-December, 2019.

Afterwards teaching plans and teaching aids that were presented to Scientific Board were discussed.

Relevant decisions were made on discussed issues. Thus, the following meeting of Scientific Board concluded.
