On May 16, the following seminar arranged at Sumgayit State University within Twinning project, implemented by direct partnership of France, Lithuania, Latvia and Azerbaijan by participation of experts.

The object of the seminar is updating recognition procedures of education credits, gained in other higher education institutions and supporting pilot universities in this process.

At first vice-rector on Teaching Organization and Training Technologies docent Natig Talibov accepted the guests and highlighted that our republic strides substantial steps towards integrating to Europe. Emphasizing the role and positive impact of the project in direction of integration of Azerbaijan into European structures, vice-rector noted that European Union calls special attention to collaboration within Twinning project. Noting the activity of SSU in the project, he talked about recently gained achievements, application of practical knowledge in teaching, successful international partnership of the university and elected specialties on Twinning project.

The lecturers, who teach on chosen programs within the project, took part in the seminar.

Coordinator of Twinning project Liza Baydanova gave information about the seminar and important issues. Lithuanian expert Christina Stkute delivered presentation and highlighted the importance of approach based on competences in the process of implementation of education recognition. The participants wrote their opinions about the outcomes of the training. French expert Jan-Luk Lomboley commented on the writings.

In the end of the seminar, experts responded the questions of the participants.
