On April 4, Sumgayit State University held the event on “Conception of special service bodies, destructive forces functioning in our country and their activity among youth”, dedicated to 100th anniversary of establishment of Azerbaijani security bodies.

Officials of Central Apparatus of State Security Service (SSS) and Sumgayit city Office of SSS, professor-teaching and student staff of the University took part in the event.

Launching the event, rector of University Professor Elkhan Huseynov congratulated collective of SSS on occasion of 100th anniversary of establishment of security and intelligence bodies in Azerbaijan. Speaking about 25-year-activity of great leader Heydar Aliyev in security bodies, rector pointed out his contributions to security service. As a result of foreign policy conducted by President Ilham Aliyev, international reputation of our country is enhancing and Azerbaijan is among leading countries in terms of security. Emphasizing significance of the meeting, rector noted that State Security Service is active in upbringing youth in Azerbaijan in the spirit of patriotism, respect to the history, our traditions, and values.

Employee of SSS, alumnus of Sumgayit State University Elsevar Mammadov delivered presentation on “Conception of special service bodies, destructive forces functioning in our country and their activity among youth”. He spoke about the history of special service bodies, security measures taken by SSS and the role of citizens in these measures. Elsevar Mammadov talked about the role of security institutions in state administration, as well as foreign special service institutions, their destructive activity against Azerbaijan, international terrorist organizations, transnational criminality like narcomania and human trafficking. The presentation welcomed by students.
