Great leader Heydar Aliyev always called special attention to the advancement of culture in all periods of his administration. Thus, on occasion of 96th anniversary of national leader and as a sign of respect, artistic creativity festival is being held among students of higher and secondary education institutions by the organization of Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic and Presidium of Republican Committee of Azerbaijan Education Employees Free Trade Union. The purpose is to increase artistic and aesthetic level of students, to form cultural lifestyle, to reveal talented youth on different types of our culture and art, to support development of their abilities.

On April 2, Sumgayit State University arranged review-competition of artistic creativity festival among students of higher and secondary education institutions dedicated to 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Poems, songs and dances performed by our students in review competition of festival welcomed by jury. Determination of talented students carried out by jury, which consisted of artistic figures of Azerbaijan Republic – vice-rector of Baku Choreography Academy Tarana Muradova, honored artistic figure, poet Baba Vaziroglu, docent of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, composer Naila Mirmammadli, soloist of Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theatre Samir Jafarov, chief producer of Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, honored artistic figure Hafiz Guliyev, docent of Azerbaijan National Conservatory Tayyar Bayramov.

It is worth to note that the final concert of festival winners will be held in May and the winners will be awarded with diplomas and presents of Ministry of Education and AEEFRU.
