In 2019, Gunay Kazimzadeh was selected as the "Young Researcher of the Year" in Germany for artificial intelligence. She is the senior consultant on artificial intelligence of "Mercedes-Benz Consulting" company, the first Azerbaijani winner of the grant established by "Google" company for women. In addition to being a Presidential awardee, she is the first Azerbaijani woman who has spoken about Artificial Intelligence at TED. Gunay Kazimzadeh studied applied mathematics at the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, computer science at the University of Bonn, and is currently studying for a doctorate in Computer Science-Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Berlin. As a researcher at the Weisenbaum Institute in Germany, she conducted research on the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Inclusivity and Bias, and was invited to more than 100 scientific and technical conferences in Europe and America and gave speeches. Gunay Kazimzade, who graduated from the special program on Artificial Intelligence at Oxford University, was the head of the international conference on "Artificial Intelligence for Digital Management" dedicated to Lutfi Zadeh, as well as the organizing committee of the data competition. By order of Rector of Sumgait State University Rufat Azizov dated May 1, 2024, she was appointed as Rector"s advisor.
