A MEMORANDUM WAS SIGNED BETWEEN SSU AND KAZAN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY
A memorandum on cooperation was signed between Sumgayit State University and Kazan Federal University of the Republic of Tatarstan.
First, our delegation got acquainted with the History Museum of Kazan University, visited the Imperial Hall and the memorial auditorium.
At the meeting, rector Rufat Azizov from SSU, dean of the faculty of Physics and electroenergetics Tamella Ahmadova, associate professor of the department of Solid State and Semiconductor physics Khayala Aliguliyeva, vice rector for foreign relations from KFU Timirkhan Alyshev, Kazan University's structure and priority development directions, the director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Systems Engineering, Dmitri Chikrin, the head of the department of Physics and Energy of II AIRSE Institute Nail Kashapov and others took part.
Rector Rufat Azizov made a speech and expressed his gratitude for the sincere welcome, and informed about the work done for the development of education and scientific research at SSU. The rector expressed his hope that the next stage of cooperation with KFU will be beneficial for both universities. He said that the memorandum will serve to develop and strengthen the partnership between Kazan Federal University and Sumgayit State University.
The rector also emphasized the establishment of relations between the relevant structures of both higher education institutions, the preparation of joint programs related to digital technologies and computer science. He also mentioned that we are interested in student and teacher exchange. Timirkhan Alyshev, vice-rector for foreign relations of Kazan University, thanked the representatives of Azerbaijan for the visit. He noted that we will invite you to conferences on engineering and natural sciences to be held at Kazan University.
Rector Rufat Azizov and Timirkhan Alyshev expressed their satisfaction with the conclusion of the scientific agreement between the two higher education institutions and expressed their belief that this cooperation will be beneficial for both parties.
It should be noted that rector of Sumgait State University Rufat Azizov and his delegation participated in the 55th anniversary ceremony of Kazan State Energy University on November 14. As a continuation of the meeting, a memorandum on cooperation was signed between Sumgayit State University and Kazan Federal University of the Republic of Tatarstan on November 15.
The cooperation memorandum envisages development of research and innovation activities, student-teacher exchange, preparation and implementation of joint research projects, exchange of scientific information, academic exchange, organization of joint conferences, seminars and other international events, publication of scientific articles.
