There are days of great importance in the destiny of the Azerbaijani people, on those days the foundation of important beginnings that will determine its future life was laid. The most important of such days is June 15 - National Salvation Day, written in golden letters in our history. National Salvation Day is not just a calendar holiday for the people of Azerbaijan, it is a day of great social, political and historical importance. On this occasion, on June 14, an exercise was held at the Heydar Aliyev school of SSU on the topic "June 15 - National Liberation Day, the return of the Great Leader to power is the most valuable day in the destiny of the Azerbaijani people."

After the video clip dedicated to the National Salvation Day was shown, rector professor Elkhan Huseynov opened the event with an introductory speech, congratulated the participants on the occasion of the National Salvation Day and talked about the importance of celebrating today. With the return of the Great Leader to political power, the foundations of modern independent state building, economic reforms, and oil strategy were laid in Azerbaijan, our independence became irreversible as a result of the National Leader's tireless activity and wise policy, legal, democratic and secular state building, the formation of the national army, Azerbaijan's democracy in the international world. The rector emphasized that National Leader Heydar Aliyev raised the level of education, science, and culture, put the people's interest first in everything, that the Great Leader did a lot of work to integrate into progressive and developed countries, and that he protected the national and moral values of the Azerbaijani people, and cooperated for strengthening economic relations with other countries. He noted that he created and determined the policy of Azerbaijan according to the geopolitical and historical conditions. He said that today the celebration of the ideology of national salvation manifests itself in the continuous development of our independent republic, the prestige of Azerbaijan in the region and the world is increasing day by day. Heydar Aliyev's rich activity as a political and statesman, who gave his whole meaningful life to his people, left a deep mark in the history of the Azerbaijani people and became a real school of public administration. How many more generations of the Azerbaijani people will benefit from this great school and the rich political heritage of Heydar Aliyev for the sake of the development of our country and the well-being of our people.

Then the vice-rector on Teaching organization and training technologies of the university, associate professor Natig Talibov, made a speech on "Social and political situation in Azerbaijan on the eve of Heydar Aliyev's return to power". He talked about the wise and goal-oriented policy of Heydar Aliyev in all fields during the two periods which he led our country, and the reforms implemented in the rapid development of our republic. He noted that with the return of the Great Leader to the leadership of Azerbaijan, the foundation of a new ideology was laid, whose main goal was independence, Azerbaijaniism, statehood, justice, democracy, national progress, secularism. The thoughts and ideas of National Leader Heydar Aliyev regarding the development and progress of Azerbaijan are successfully continued by his worthy successor, the head of the country, Ilham Aliyev.

Later,the participants made a speech on the topics; associate professor Sona Maharramova, head of the department of History and its teaching methodology, "Heydar Aliyev's return to political leadership", Zulfiyya Hajiyeva senior lecturer of the department of Business organization and management "National Salvation Day is the beginning of economic stability", senior lecturer of the department of literature of Azerbaijan and foreign countries, philosophy of philology Dr. Afat Rafiyeva "The new stage of the cultural development of independent Azerbaijan begins from the Liberation Day", Narmin Mohsumlu, a first-year student of the faculty of Economics and Management "Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev - a wise leader of the new century leading to confident victories". The speakers spoke in detail about the events that took place in our country in June 1993, the great rescue mission of the world-famous politician National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the historical services of President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the current realities of independent Azerbaijan. Thanks to the activities of the Great Leader, they drew attention to the creation of a normative legal framework that meets high requirements for the formation of civil society, free living of people, and ensuring the rule of law in our independent republic.
