In Sumgait City Drama Theatre named after Huseyn Arablinski,  there took  place citywide event with the organization of Sumgait City Executive Power on the occasion of November 9 th State Flag Day. The head of the Sumgait City Executive Power, Zakir Faradjov, the deputies of National Assembly and the rector of Sumgait State University, Elkhan Huseynov and professors- teachers attended the celebration.
First of all ,the participants of the event have got acquainted with pain - tings of young artists dedicated to the National Flag Day in the crush-room of the theatre. Inaguration of State Flag Square, memorial–recreation park which is situated in Bayil district has taken place with the participation of Ilham Aliyev on the 1 st of September in 2010.
The Gerb of Azerbaijan Republic, the text of state anthem and the map of our country costructed in the Square were prepared of bronze dropped into water of gold. State Flag Museum was also established there. As soon as possible our flag will be waved in Shusha, Agdam, kalbadjar and in other lands under occupation.
