A CONCERT PROGRAM DEDICATED TO THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF NATIONAL LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV WAS HELD UNDER THE JOINT ORGANIZATION OF SUMGAIT STATE UNIVERSITY AND SUMGAIT MUSIC COLLEGE
On May 5, a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in the Grand Assembly Hall of Sumgait State University in the framework of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" and jointly organized by Sumgait Music College under Sumgait State University and Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
The event was attended by representatives of the Sumgayit Music College, along with the management of SSU, professors and students.
The concert program began with the screening of a video about the meaningful life path of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Then the poem "Ulu Ondar" written by poet Ramiz Duygun was presented by Khalida Guliyeva, club manager of Sumgayit State University.
Later, the works and music of composers such as Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Fikret Amirov, Ogtay Rajabov, Sardar Farajov, Rauf Mammadov and the song "Mother" by Sevil Aliyeva were presented in the performances of the students of Sumgait Music College under Sumgait State University and Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
Kamran Teymurov, Konul Bekirova and Shams Aliyeva, artistic directors of the chamber orchestra and ensemble of folk instruments of the Sumgait Music College, conductor Firangiz Khalilova, Honored Teacher of the Republic, teachers of the College Ashiq Elchin Rashid oglu, Aysha Amrahova, talented students of the Sumgait Music College and the students of Sumgait State University Ravan Almammadli, Sakina Gasimova, Kanan Ahmadzadeh, Sadaf Budagova, winner of the Television Mugam Competition, presented songs and symphonies dedicated to our National Leader, as well as songs related to the Motherland and heroism.
In the end, rector of Sumgait State University, professor Elkhan Huseynov and director of Sumgait Music College, doctor of philosophy in art studies, associate professor Sabina Mehdiyeva welcomed the participants and highly valued the successful performances of the students. They noted that independent Azerbaijan, engraved in golden letters in our history, is Heydar Aliyev"s masterpiece. There is no doubt that our people will live its author forever in their history and hearts.
By continuing the political course of the Great Leader, under the leadership of our honorable president Ilham Aliyev, the people of Azerbaijan will continue to write new, glorious pages of their history and conquer higher peaks.
It was noted at the event that a series of events will be continued at Sumgayit State University on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
