The #codeforfuture project is being implemented at Sumgayit State University with the joint organization of the Ministry of Science and Education, "Code Academy" and the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

For this purpose, another meeting was held with leading representatives of the #codeforfuture project at Sumgayit State University on April 17.

Rector of Sumgayit State University, professor Elkhan Huseynov received Code Academy founder and CEO Ulvi Aslanov, Project manager Farid Asadli, senior specialist for business development Tugrul Kapucuoglu and expressed his satisfaction to see them at the university.

In his speech, professor Elkhan Huseynov noted that higher education institutions have very honorable and responsible duties in order to define and implement the main perspectives of the development of Azerbaijani education based on national and human traditions. Saying that his duty is not only to train professional personnel, but also to train citizens worthy of the state and nation, the rector stated that in this context, like all higher education institutions of our republic, SSU has its own place: "As the years pass, SSU has become one of the prestigious scientific and educational institutions of the region and our country thanks to the great leader Heydar Aliyev"s high consideration to science and education, and the attention and care of his political successor, President Ilham Aliyev. As in our country, successful projects in SSU are being implemented in the direction of training of competitive, highly qualified personnel that respond to the labor market.

Speaking about the importance of the #codeforfuture project, the rector said that it is an innovative approach that will positively affect the quality of teaching in higher education institutions, it is also very important for the development of healthy, highly educated young people as highly qualified personnel, and will create wide opportunities for them to be employed in the future: The training conducted in accordance with "Code Academy"s program will have a positive effect on students" acquisition of advanced knowledge in the field of IT.

Rector Elkhan Huseynov reminded that 2 auditoriums and teachers" rooms were quickly repaired and put into use at the university for the realization of the project, and that the rooms were provided with electricity and high-speed Internet access lines, and noted that a lot of work has been done in this direction: within the framework of Technest scholarship program and with the special support of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, the rooms were furnished and provided with computers, high technical indicators, equipment to provide access to the Internet, projectors were installed and assembly works were performed and put into use.

Then Ulvi Aslanov, the founder and general director of Code Academy, expressed his deep gratitude to the rector, professor Elkhan Huseynov for the welcome at Sumgayit State University, as well as the high conditions created for the implementation of the project. The founder gave information about the work carried out within the framework of the "Code for Future" project from 2021, spoke about the importance of the project for students and expressed his confidence that it will create wide opportunities and perspectives for SSU students in the field of IT. He pointed out that starting from 2023, these projects will be applied on a larger scale for the benefit of students studying not only in Baku, but also in our regions.

Ulvi Aslanov also noted that 6 people of our students studying in the courses of "Code Academy" participated in the exam conducted by "Microsoft" company with the support of "Code Academy" and each of them obtained Microsoft"s international certificates. Getting a good result in a short time, even before completing the course, shows the quality of the course. Currently, 64 students of SSU, who have the title of listeners of "Code Academy", continue their studies, 16 students in 4 groups in the areas of Network administrator and WEB programming. He also noted that the main goal of the project is to support the acquisition of knowledge and skills of students in the field of IT that can cope with the demands of the modern labor market.

During mutual discussions, it was planned to hold regular meetings for the further expansion of the project among students and to open even wider audiences in the future.
