On April 8, under the organization of the faculty of Mathematics, an Olympiad dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was held among students of the I‒III course in mathematics.

First, the dean of the faculty of Mathematics doc. Khalida Hasanova greeted the participants and talked about the importance and purpose of the Olympiad. She stated that the purpose of organizing the Olympiad is to identify talented students, to increase students' interest in this subject, and to enable them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a healthy competitive environment. She noted that National Leader Heydar Aliyev was very concerned about the development of science and education, reminded the views of Heydar Aliyev on education: "The priority areas should be determined after studying the current state of our education system and its problems in depth."

Khalida Hasanova, who spoke about the reforms carried out by President Ilham Aliyev in the country's education system from the first years of his leadership and about the role of those reforms in today's achievements and wished success to the Olympiad participants.

Then the head of the department of Mathematical analysis and theory of functions professor Nabi Gurbanov, the head of the department of Differential equations and optimization professor Fikret Feyziyev and the head of the department of Mathematics and its teaching methodology docent Maftun Heydarova, emphasized the importance of holding such events in terms of creating interest in science and wished success to the Olympiad participants. .

During the Olympiad organized in the form of open questions, more than 100 students demonstrated their high knowledge by answering questions for 3 hours.
