On April 6, an intellectual competition called "Heydar Aliyev 100" was held among students in the Scientific library of Sumgayit State University with the joint organization of the Student Union Committee, Student Youth Organization and faculty of Chemistry and biology.

At the opening of the competition, the National Anthem was played and the dear memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute's silence.

Associate professor Mahal Muradov, dean of the faculty of Chemistry and biology, spoke about the great leader Heydar Aliyev's unparalleled services to the people and state of Azerbaijan. He said that National Leader Heydar Aliyev's services to the people and Azerbaijan are so great that his memory is remembered every day and all the time. The main goal of such a knowledge competition is to study the life and activities of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. The dean expressed his gratitude to the staff of the faculty, and organizing such wide-ranging knowledge competitions among the young generation, and wished success to the participants.

Then the intellectual competition started. 8 teams, consisting of 5 people in each team, participated in the competition. The competition was held in 2 rounds, in each round 12 questions reflecting the life and activities of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, the process of state building and reforms carried out in the country under the leadership of the Great Leader, were given. In the competition, the Optimalist team was awarded the first place, the Albatros team was awarded the second place, and the Demon team was awarded the third place. Certificates of participation were presented to each member of the winning teams.
