From February 27 to March 10, in the field of scientific publications in the "2023 Action Plan of the Strategic Development Plan for 2021-2025" of the Sumgait State University, a series of trainings were started with the participation of students in order to take an appropriate place for the university in the international rating systems.

"Rules for the use of Strikeplagiarism.com anti-plagiarism system and description of Similarity Report", "Methodology of plagiarism checking of scientific works", "New functionality of the system" (search for translated similarity and plagiarism, task option that facilitates the use of the system, etc.) offered by Plagiat.pl a series of seminars and webinars will be organized.

Vice-rector of SSU for Science and innovations professor Ramazan Mammadov opened the training and greeted the representatives and participants of "Plagiat.pl" company. He said that the complex solution of the issue is important in terms of improving the quality of education, creating a favorable infrastructure for the development of science, obtaining reliable information confirming the authenticity of scientific work, and ensuring transparency in society.

The vice-rector also noted that the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan  Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to the protection of intellectual property, copyright and anti-plagiarism issues. Innovative projects aimed at combating plagiarism  are successfully implementing in the  Ministry of Science and Education, the Intellectual Property Agency and relevant institutions in the country. In this direction, the plagiarism program started to be applied at Sumgait State University                            an opportunity to check bachelor's, master's and doctoral dissertations, as well as any other scientific or educational documents. I hope that this process will continue successfully in the future.

Later, the trainer Farida Rzazade informed the participants in detail about the new interface of the StrikePlagiarism.com anti-plagiarism system,  working mechanism of the program. She made a broad presentation about the advantages of the new interface applied to educational institutions and making the interface more convenient and intuitive. She also brought to the attention of the participants that in addition to the system, the opinion of experts plays an important role in detecting plagiarism in scientific work.

At the end, there was a broad exchange of ideas on the topic, many questions were answered.
