On February 15, the rectorate's meeting of Sumgayit State University was held.

Rector professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted the meeting participants and informed about the issues on the agenda, spoke about the development of the university in terms of teaching and scientific activities. Then the rector introduced Gunel Pashayeva-director of the Strategic Development Center to the team and wished her success in her future activities.

Faig Shirinov-director of the Teaching Methodological Center and head of the department of Doctoral studies and master's degree Sabir Khalilov informed about the industrial experience of undergraduate and master's degree students in the spring semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, the rules on the organization and conduct of industrial experience, as well as the students' pedagogical experience and industrial experience diary were prepared in a new form.

Supervision of scientific research and pedagogical experiments at the master's level was entrusted to the director of the Doctoral studies and master's degree department, associate professor Sabir Khalilova, and to the director of the teaching methodical center, Faig Shirinov, and the deans of the faculty. Vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations Elmar Khalilov spoke about the events to be held at SSU in connection with the 31st anniversary of the Khojaly of the tragedy.The            plan of events was approved and the high-level supervision of the planned events related to the "February 26 Khojaly tragedy" was assigned to the vice- rector for   Social affairs and public relations associate professor Elmar Khalilov.

Gafar Atayev-vice-rector for International relations spoke about his participation in SSU academic exchange and international projects in 2022-2023.As a coordinator of relations with the universities of the European Union countries, strengthening of the work carried out in the direction of winning KA2 projects to the department of International relations and foreign students as well as expansion of the university's marketing activities by participating in international education exhibitions was entrusted to the vice-rector for International relations doc.Gafar Atayev.

Gafar Atayev gave information about the strengthening of career opportunities of SSU students-graduates at the expense of foreign investors and said that the deans of the faculty and the Career Center were entrusted to inform the work in order to effectively organize for 19-30-year-old students and graduates to join the project through the portal.

After the discussions, appropriate decisions were made and the rectorate's meeting finished its work.
