Rector of Sumgayit State University professor Elkhan Huseynov on the occasion of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year holiday made all employees of the university satisfied with a cash prize as a holiday gift. He congratulated the collective on the occasion of the upcoming December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, and wished our country peace, security, health, sustenance and blessings.

He said that one of the fundamental factors that play an important role in the historical development of every nation is the idea of national unity and solidarity. People who do not achieve national unity and solidarity can never live independently and freely. In this sense, our national leader Heydar Aliyev, who united the Azerbaijanis of the world around the ideas of a single national ideology and solidarity, implemented the independence dreams of the Azerbaijani people, made it eternal and irreversible.The unity of every Azerbaijani living in every corner of the world, whose soul and heart beats with love for the Motherland, in the protection of our statehood, the presence of our nationality was a desire of our national leader Heydar Aliyev. For two years now, National Solidarity Day has been celebrated with a completely different, higher mood. Because the liberation of our lands from occupation was also the celebration of our national solidarity, the embodiment of the close unity of our people around their leader. On September 27, 2020, in response to the military aggression committed by Armenia against our country, the people of Azerbaijan defended our lands in the Patriotic War at the call of the Commander-in-Chief president Ilham Aliyev. The victorious Azerbaijan Army inflicted a heavy defeat on the enemy and restored the territorial integrity of our country for 44 days. The glorious Victory, which will live forever in the history of national statehood and in the memory of our people was achieved thanks to the unity of people-power, high professionalism of our army and intense political-diplomatic activity.

The rector once again congratulated the staff of the university on the upcoming December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, and wished them peace and new achievements.

We should say that according to the order signed by the rector of SSU professor Elkhan Huseynov in order to improve the social condition of the employees, financial assistance is given to all employees of the university every year on the eve of the New Year, Nowruz, Ramadan and Eid holidays.
