The 5th debate-speech competition dedicated to the "Year of Shusha" was launched at SSU
On December 10, Sumgayit State University hosted the fifth debate-speech competition on the theme "Organizations play an important role in the regulation of interstate relations" dedicated to the "Year of Shusha" organized by the Student Youth Organization and Debate club of SSU.
Tayfun Hajili the chairman of the Student Union Committee of SSU welcomed the participants and spoke about the importance of debate games, the role of debate in the development of the youth, and wished success to the teams. He said that declaring 2022 "Year of Shusha" in our country in connection with the 270th anniversary of the city of Shusha is a necessary step. In this direction, a series of events, exhibitions and a sports spartakiade were held at Sumgayit State University.
Anar Gurbanov, chairman of the "Debating club" of SSU gave information about the competition and noted that the main purpose of it , which was held under the theme "Organizations play an important role in the regulation of interstate relations" was the investigation of a particularly important topic by young people through debate.
The competition was managed by the judges of the Debate civil society, in addition to the judges of the students of our university.
In the final stage, the teams "Istiqlal" of the faculty of History and geography and "Dashaltı" of the faculty of Philology competed.
We should note that 26 teams participated in the Debate Forum. The winning team will be determined next week.
