On December 1, an awarding ceremony was held for the awarded employees.

Rector professor Elkhan Huseynov once again congratulated the faculty on the occasion of the anniversary and wished success to the university staff in their responsible and efficient activities in providing high-level specialists in various fields of the country"s life. He talked about the development path of SSU, the successes achieved during these years and said that Sumgayit State University, which was founded in 1962 has gone through a great development path and has become a prestigious science and education center of the country and the region today. Sumgayit State University is a prestigious center of science and education, as well as a cultural center.

The  rector noted that the president of the country Ilham Aliyev appreciating  the achievements of the university awarded a group of employees of the university with the honorary titles of "Honored teacher" and "Taraggi" medal. This is a clear example of state care for our collective. All this once again proves that in our country, the attitude towards the work of teachers and scientists, science and education is one of the main priorities of the state.

On these 60th anniversary days, professor Elkhan Huseynov once again expressed his deep gratitude on behalf of the professor-teacher and student to our   president  Ilham Aliyev, sincerely congratulated each member of the team.

Then the awarding ceremony was held and the rector professor Elkhan Huseynov presented the Honorary diplomas to their owners.
