On November 29, the presentation and exhibition of methodical teaching aids  published in recent years  by the faculty of Chemistry and biology was held in the Scientific library of Sumgayit State University.

Dean of the faculty of Chemistry and biology associate professor Mahal Muradov spoke about the relevance of the published textbooks and congratulated the authors and expressed his gratitude to the rector of the university professor Elkhan Huseynov. Talking about the current situation, problems and advantages of teaching in chemistry and biology majors in the country, he spoke about the work at the faculty in this direction and stated that chemistry science is developing  dynamically and rapidly in our country. The textbooks intended for bachelor, master and doctoral students studying chemistry and biology meet the current requirements in these fields.

Head of the department of Petroleum chemistry and chemical engineering  professor Akbar Agayev, head of the department of Chemistry and its teaching methodology associate professor Musa Musayev, head of the department of Biology and its teaching methodology associate professor Arzu Bakhshaliyev, head of the department of Civil Defense, medical and physical training Tahir Khalilov and other authors gave information about the methodical resources they published. They said that the field of chemistry in Azerbaijan is the oldest among national scientific directions. The main components of general chemistry are reviewed in the textbook. The methods of obtaining chemical substances, their structure, and their physico-chemical properties are explained. The book is intended for scientific workers, doctoral students, master students.

Associate professor Nemet Ibayev - chairman of the Trade Union Committee of SSU spoke about the publications  and their importance in recent years.

After the speeches, the teachers and students got acquainted with the publications and exchanged ideas with the authors.
